In order not to let me apply for early move in, he lied to me by saying that the apartment did not provide early move-in and that all the units were rented out. Some of my packages delivered were stolen, but Octave refused to do anything to help. They'll also charge you exorbitantly for damages, no matter how pristine of a condition you leave the apartment in when you move. They claimed to have sent the cleaners on August 3, however when I went over to the apartment on August 8, it was completely trashed, dust everywhere and clearly in the process of being cleaned. There's no reason they couldn't have vacuumed and mopped the floor. This was clearly a lie, as I had inspected the apartment two weeks prior to move in, and there was nothing in the apartment except for some stuff kept in the corner. They claimed the previous occupant had left his stuff everywhere (cabinets, counter, fridge)t which they had to clean around it. When my roommates and I complained about this to the management, they refused to send the cleaning staff again, saying we must have dirtied the place after the cleaners had already cleaned it. Only the rooms were clean, but the living room was not. However I received a dirty apartment on move in, with the floors not being mopped, and the cabinets and fridge having stuff left over from the previous occupant. Website claims to include a commitment to cleanliness especially during this COVID season. WILL BE NICE TO YOU UNTIL YOU SIGN THE LEASE, THEN DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING FROM THEIR END.
